Learning Objectives: The objective of the assignment is to: 

Provide students with an opportunity to develop the knowledge they have about Public Relations campaign in a practical scenario.

Background: Virtual University is a historical landmark for Pakistan in the field of higher education. It is expected to have a great impact on the socio-economic growth of Pakistan. VU is also expanding its operations by offering professional development courses as part of its contribution to continuing quality education for students, professionals and working class of the country. t is obvious that a successful Public relations campaign will ensure maximum enrollment of the students in VU. Task in Focus: Suppose you are a Public Relations Officer (PRO) in the Virtual University of Pakistan. Your task is to plan an effective public relations campaign to encourage the working people to get them enrolled in the Virtual University for best quality education along with their job or other activities.

Keep in mind the following points while designing the PR campaign:

1. What should be the objective of this campaign? (Marks: 3)

The objective of this campaign is to provide information about Virtual University. Which is one of the largest accredited online university as well as on campus in PAKISTAN  providing degree programs available in a wide range of subject fields not only in PAKISTAN but  internationally too .The main purpose of this university is committed to general education, a student-centered service and support approach, and applied scholarship in a practical environment. Enjoy a vast library of resources, dedicated advisors, and innovative learning techniques through Virtual’s online programs not only for students but SPECIALLY for working people too

2. What type of media & techniques will be used? (Marks: 4) 3.

There are many advertising ‘media’ such as newspapers (local, national, free, trade), magazines and journals, television (local, national, terrestrial, satellite) cinema, outdoor advertising (such as posters, bus sides)  and Internet advertising  and Marketing student Blog in this way we can develop attitudes, create awareness, and transmit information in order to gain a response from the target market

New emerging digital media would be beneficial and applicable in this regard? If yes then why? (Marks: 2)

ANS: Yes new emerging digital media would be beneficial and applicable in this regard because now a days it is a new tool for communication. Now a days more and more businesses are embracing and flourishing though it in fact it’s a powerful tool for organizations to implement marketing campaigns
