A public service advertisement or public service announcement (PSA) are carefully crafted messages in the public interest with the objective of raising awareness, changing public attitude and behavior towards a social issue disseminated through media. With reference to Pakistan, “Zara Sochiye (Just Think)” initiated by Mir Khalil Ur Rahman Foundation (MKRF) in partnership with GEO TV network, Jang group newspapers, and other media groups; this formal drive of Zara Sochiye is an attempt to highlight the crucial issues that promote and represent imbalance in our society.

Zara Sochiye has pointed out many issues but education awareness initiative (parhnay likhnay ke siwa Pakistan ka matlab kya) is particularly interesting because education is the basic building block for human development and poverty reduction.   Education at all levels (primary to higher) contributes to learning, empowerment, and the development of community lives.

PSA compaign planners are needed to learn two fundamental factors before development of message and execution of compaign:

·         Problem or behavior that is being addressed by the compaign
·         Demographic details of the primary target audience

You are required to analyze the compaign (parhnay likhnay ke siwa Pakistan ka matlab kya) on the basis of above mentioned fundamental factors; whether the compaign is rightly addressing the problem? And how does it account for demographic details of target audience in the compaign?

Zara Sochiye (Just Think) is a formal drive initiated by MKRF/Jang Group/GEO Television Network that attempts to highlight issues that promote and/or represent imbalance and injustice in our society and have divided us for years. MKRF Zara Sochiye Education Initiative aims to make parents as voters and legislators to realize that education is the number 1 problem Pakistan faces today, and is also the number 1 solution to our problems. It aims to create an enabling environment for education reforms in Pakistan, and to make education politically relevant.

According to Demographic campaign is not rightly addressing the problem because many people take it on other side as already explained in my last post.
